Help shape the futures of Indigenous youth in Toronto as a full-time Education and Employment Worker at Native Child and Family Services. Provide guidance, support, and workshops to enhance community engagement.
This unionized role is tailored for those passionate about youth work. You will connect with Indigenous youth aged 16-29, facilitating access to educational resources and creating life-skill workshops. Located at 655 Bloor St. West, you'll work collaboratively with community organizations to foster development and success for attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct support to Indigenous youth in programs
• Facilitate life-skill and cultural workshops effectively
• Collaborate with agencies for educational pathways
• Prepare and handle documentation for services provided
• Outreach consistently to reach at-risk youth
Requirements:
• Post-secondary social services education required
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role essential
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and challenges
• Strong communication skills required
• Acceptable Criminal Records Check needed
