Join Newcomer Women’s Services as a Settlement Services Worker in Toronto, ON, focusing on assisting newcomers. This full-time temporary position is available starting July 2, 2026, at $17.60/hour.
The role involves conducting needs assessments and helping clients understand vital services such as housing, health, and transportation. You will also facilitate group workshops to address various client needs and implement strategies for effective community outreach. Be prepared to work across multiple office locations as required throughout the settlement process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify client vulnerabilities and focus on their assets
• Plan and execute educational workshops for newcomers
• Provide informal counseling and advocacy support
• Monitor client progress and follow up routinely
• Prepare monthly progress reports for program evaluation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Conflict resolution skills essential
• Access to a vehicle and valid Ontario driver’s license
