Position: Thrive Housing Worker Full Time Contract
Contribute to youth support as a Thrive Housing Worker with Covenant House. This full-time contract role involves helping vulnerable youth secure affordable housing and develop essential life skills.

Covenant House is seeking a dedicated Housing Worker for its Thrive Department. This position focuses on implementing supportive policies and building relationships with youth facing homelessness. Key responsibilities include housing assessments, planning, and providing after-care. An emphasis on life skills training and tenant support is crucial for making an impact on the lives of at-risk youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Covenant House policies for youth in need

• Conduct housing assessments for each youth

• Develop individualized housing plans and discharge strategies

• Provide eviction prevention support to at-risk youth

• Assist with roommate selection and community resources

Requirements:

• College or university degree in child and youth work

• Minimum two years’ experience in residential settings

• Knowledge of community housing resources and welfare systems

• Effective communication and report-writing skills

• Valid Ontario G driver’s license
