Community Programs Lead

Position: Community Programs Lead Role in Downtown
Join West Neighbourhood House as a Community Programs Lead for The Meeting Place Drop In. Help empower vulnerable adults in a supportive community within downtown Toronto.

This role involves providing leadership for various programs, ensuring an accessible, low-barrier environment for those facing homelessness or social challenges. You will engage with community members, provide essential resource referrals, and foster social cohesion through engaging activities. Additionally, you'll take part in outreach efforts to promote awareness and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead programming and social events within the drop-in

• Promote a safe and engaging space for individuals

• Facilitate community outreach and networking

• Conduct data management and documentation tasks

• Lift and manage deliveries of food and supplies

Requirements:

• B.S.W. or equivalent in social sciences

• Minimum 1 year in community service work

• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

• Understanding of anti-oppression frameworks

• Capability to handle physical demands of the position
