In this contract position, you will engage with service users, distribute harm reduction materials, and conduct educational outreach. The role requires effective data entry, documentation, and a deep understanding of harm reduction strategies. Working primarily onsite, the Harm Reduction Worker will collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a welcoming environment for service users
• Prepare and distribute harm reduction kits
• Conduct community needle sweeps and document findings
• Provide information and referrals to community services
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fixed-site
Requirements:
• Lived experience of drug use or sex work
• Knowledge of harm reduction practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts effectively
• Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination status
