Become an Employment Counsellor with Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto in North York, focusing on healthcare job seekers. This full‑time, in‑person role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting underrepresented communities. This position is designed for an experienced Employment Counsellor to guide clients through the Ontario Bridging Training Programs (OBTP). You will assess client needs, deliver workshops, and provide one‑on‑one coaching aimed at enhancing job readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct tailored assessments and create action plans
- Provide comprehensive employment support services
- Maintain accurate records of client progress
- Facilitate healthcare job search workshops
- Build relationships with healthcare providers to support client placements
- Relevant post‑secondary education or 5years of experience
- At least 3years in case management
- Robust knowledge of healthcare sector dynamics
- Proven mentoring and coaching abilities
- Familiarity with CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
- Utilize your skills to partner with marginalized job seekers, connecting them to valuable employment opportunities in healthcare
