Child and Family Wellbeing Specialist

Make a difference in children's lives as a Child and Family Wellbeing Specialist with Native Child and Family Services of Toronto. This hybrid role focuses on immediate response and culturally grounded services in the Indigenous community.

Native Child is seeking a committed professional for its team to provide holistic and culturally responsive assessments, crisis interventions, and family support services. The role demands a Bachelor of Social Work, relevant experience, and extensive knowledge of Indigenous cultures and child welfare protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of children's immediate safety

• Intervene in crisis situations as necessary

• Facilitate consultations with service providers

• Evaluate and revise care plans regularly

• Advocate for timely and culturally appropriate services

Requirements:

• B.S.W. with 2 years’ experience in child and family wellbeing

• Understanding of Indigenous Peoples' history and culture

• Valid Driver’s License is required

• Ability to provide acceptable Child Welfare Check

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
