This full‑time role is a 12-month contract reporting to the Director of Engagement and Strategic Initiatives. You will engage with community members and lead initiatives that target social, racial, gender, and economic injustices. Your expertise in community capacity building is vital in advocating for marginalized groups in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with community partners to implement social justice initiatives
• Organize events to enhance civic engagement across Toronto
• Facilitate workshops on equitable policy and advocacy
• Chair relevant coalitions and committees
• Evaluate initiatives addressing community priorities
Requirements:
• 3 to 5 years in community organizing or civic engagement
• Master’s level education in social policy or related field
• Knowledge of city-wide inequalities
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills
• Experience working with diverse and marginalized communities
