Indigenous Child Wellbeing Worker

Join Native Child and Family Services of Toronto as an Indigenous Child Wellbeing Worker. This vital hybrid role focuses on supporting Indigenous families through immediate responses and culturally aligned services.

In this permanent full-time position, you’ll engage with children and families, conduct assessments, and facilitate crisis interventions. A Bachelor of Social Work and a deep understanding of Indigenous cultures are important for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather information and assess children’s safety

• Develop relationships to support family assessments

• Participate in case conferences and planning

• Liaise for service coordination and advocacy

• Facilitate ongoing contact between children and families

Requirements:

• B.S.W. from an accredited university

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of Child, Youth, and Family Services Act

• Valid Driver’s License with reliable vehicle

• Demonstrated understanding of workplace Health and Safety
