Resident Services Youth Support Worker

Join Covenant House as a Resident Services Youth Support Worker, empowering disadvantaged youth to reclaim their lives. This full-time, onsite role emphasizes emotional and practical support.

In this role, you will be instrumental in assessing youth needs through a trauma-informed lens, developing personalized plans in collaboration with other team members. By facilitating both individual and group activities, you will guide youth in building essential life skills while connecting them to necessary resources within the community. Flexibility for 24/7 operations will be key in both day and evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ongoing assessment of youth needs

• Collaborate on tailored support plans

• Facilitate life skills through group work

• Complete daily documentation and case updates

• Ensure safety and security protocols are followed

Requirements:

• College or university degree in relevant field

• At least two years in a similar setting

• Knowledge of adolescent developmental issues

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to manage crises effectively
