Housing Support Worker at Jean Tweed

The Jean Tweed Centre is seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker for its supportive housing programs. This full-time position is centered on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practices, providing essential assistance for women and gender-diverse individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. You will guide clients in achieving personal goals, ensuring life skills development and stability in housing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized trauma-informed support for housing stability

• Conduct wellness assessments and client check-ins regularly

• Support clients in personal goal development and community integration

• Identify and respond to crisis situations effectively

• Collaborate with service providers for additional resources

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work or equivalent

• 3 years' experience in Mental Health or Supportive Housing

• Strong understanding of community resources

• First Aid/CPR certification required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
