Position: Residential Counsellor for Developmental Services
Become a Residential Counsellor at FDH in Toronto, ON, providing essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Focus on life skills, counseling, and community engagement.

This full-time, contract role is dedicated to helping clients achieve independence through structured life skills programming and daily living support. You will be responsible for addressing behavior challenges, facilitating community involvement, and maintaining a safe environment for residents. Ideal candidates will have prior experience and a strong understanding of developmental service opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities like hygiene and budgeting

• Facilitate community outings and life skills programming

• Employ crisis intervention techniques when necessary

• Collect objective information during crisis situations

• Assist with administrative and clerical duties

Requirements:

• Diploma/degree in Social Services field

• Minimum two years of relevant experience

• Current First Aid/CPR and CPI certifications

• Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office

• Familiarity with the Social Inclusion Act
