As an 18-month contract position, you will fill one of three roles aimed at supporting the well-being of children in the Toronto Indigenous community. Responsibilities involve crisis intervention, conducting safety assessments, and developing supportive relationships with families. This position highlights the importance of cultural sensitivity in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform investigations and safety assessments for children
• Develop relationships to assess family strengths
• Coordinate Customary Care Agreements with families
• Facilitate children’s access visits with extended families
• Complete legal forms and case recordings effectively
Requirements:
• B.S.W. or related field with at least 2 years experience
• Knowledge of Child and Youth Services Act
• Extensive understanding of Indigenous culture
• Capacity to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Excellent multitasking and communication skills
