Position: Covenant House Youth Support Specialist
Join Covenant House Toronto as a Youth Support Specialist, helping young individuals achieve stable housing. This role combines housing management, skills training, and advocacy within the community.

As a Follow Up Worker, you will play a pivotal part in supporting youth at Covenant House. This full-time position includes conducting assessments, creating actionable housing plans, and assisting with life skills training. Your collaboration with internal and external agencies will ensure holistic support, helping clients navigate essential systems and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete initial assessments and detailed housing histories

• Create customized housing plans addressing individual needs

• Advocate for clients within social systems and services

• Offer life skills training tailored to the youth's situation

• Manage crises effectively to ensure client safety

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in child and youth work or equivalent

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications

• Familiarity with housing systems in Toronto

• Understanding of barriers faced by homeless youth

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
