Covenant House Toronto is seeking a Peer Support Worker to support youth accessing Residential Services Programs. This full-time position involves building trusting relationships, advocating for youth, and helping them navigate to essential community resources. You will utilize your experiences and insights to empower young individuals in need, fostering their personal growth and connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage youth across various Residential Services programs
• Build trusting relationships through lived expertise
• Identify community resources for youth
• Advocate alongside youth for service navigation
• Organize and facilitate life skills workshops
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Lived expertise in homelessness or mental health
• Knowledge of community resources
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
