At Wood Green, the Overnight Support Worker contributes to a supportive housing program aimed at homeless seniors. This position requires engaging with residents while implementing crisis strategies and monitoring building activity. You will ensure safety and compliance with building policies while providing after-hours support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide reception services to all staff and residents
• Ensure building safety during overnight hours
• Monitor common area activities via security systems
• Implement crisis de-escalation and support strategies
• Complete detailed reports and participate in team communication
Requirements:
• Two-year diploma in social services or security certification
• Minimum three years’ experience with older adults
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution
• Ability to manage aggressive behaviors
• Competency with computer applications and databases
