Position: Covenant House Peer Support Specialist
Support youth in need as a Peer Support Specialist with Covenant House in Toronto. Utilize your personal journey to mentor young individuals accessing vital programs and services.

In this full-time role, you will leverage your lived expertise to assist youth with housing instability and mental health challenges. Your focus will be on relationship-building, resource navigation, and facilitating engaging life skills activities within a harm reduction framework. The position also involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and contributes to ongoing program development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build connections with residents in various programs

• Facilitate meaningful life skills workshops

• Assist youth in identifying goals and strengths

• Advocate for services and community resources

• Maintain thorough documentation of interactions

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Relevant lived experiences with homelessness or mental health

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work evenings and weekends

• First Aid and CPR certifications are a plus
