Lead skills development for newcomer women with Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto as a Skills Development Counselor. Emphasizing mentorship and credential training in a full-time on-site capacity.
In this temporary role, lasting until June 29, 2027, you'll help clients understand and navigate credential recognition while assisting them in training opportunities. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of foreign credential processes and experience working with underrepresented communities to drive impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in completing credential equivalency applications
• Assess individual needs to create training pathways
• Organize group sessions on skills development
• Provide personalized guidance on certifications
• Communicate with credentialing bodies and industry partners
Requirements:
• Degree in Career Counseling, Education, or similar
• Minimum 3 years in workforce development
• Familiarity with Ontario's employment landscape
• Strong knowledge of educational equivalency processes
• Valid driver’s license for travel across Ontario
