The CMHA Toronto is hiring a Transitional Housing Worker for its Patterson House Program. This role involves working on-site from 10:00 pm to 8:30 am on weekends, helping clients by providing crisis intervention and direct service. Emphasizing individual goals, your responsibilities will include ensuring a safe living space and fostering trust with clients and community supports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver on-site residential support and case management
• Assist clients in crisis and prevention situations
• Educate clients about programs and available support services
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in residential settings
• Build collaborative relationships with clients and service providers
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Work/Social Sciences or equivalent experience
• At least two years in community or residential mental health roles
• Understanding of mental illness and concurrent disorders
• Effective communication in diverse community settings
• Adherence to anti-racism and anti-oppression principles
Support individuals experiencing mental health challenges as part of a dedicated team at Patterson House.
