Housing Support Worker

Position: Full-Time Housing Support Worker Role
Support community wellbeing as a Full-Time Housing Support Worker at Jean Tweed. This role prioritizes individualized support, crisis intervention, and life skills training for women.

At the Jean Tweed Centre, the Housing Support Worker plays a pivotal role in assisting women dealing with mental health, substance use, and housing instability. This position embodies trauma-informed care through direct client engagement and a collaborative approach within a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will significantly contribute to clients’ recovery and reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer personalized support to promote housing stability

• Conduct regular client check-ins and wellness assessments

• Facilitate crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies

• Support referrals to necessary community resources

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of client interactions

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Services or related field

• Minimum 3 years in Mental Health or Substance Use support

• CRM technology knowledge preferred

• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
