Covenant House seeks two full-time Youth Reconnect Workers committed to preventing homelessness among youth aged 12-18. You will connect with at-risk youth through schools and community agencies, assess needs, and set actionable goals to ensure stable housing and education. This role involves engaging families and linking youth to resources to create a supportive social safety net.
Key Responsibilities:
• Connect with youth from schools and agencies
• Offer support in convenient locations to youth
• Assess needs and set goals collaboratively
• Assist youth in securing stable housing
• Facilitate group activities and workshops
Requirements:
• BSW or Child and Youth Work Diploma required
• Minimum 2 years working with at-risk youth
• Experience in community-based mobile positions
• Understanding of youth homelessness issues
• Flexibility to work including evenings
Utilize your expertise in youth support, advocacy, and community engagement to empower vulnerable young people within Covenant House Toronto.
