Overnight Youth Worker at Covenant House

Support at-risk youth as an Overnight Youth Worker with Covenant House Toronto. This part-time role focuses on providing emotional support and trauma-informed care during nighttime hours.

This permanent, part-time position involves working overnight shifts from 10:30 PM to 8:30 AM. Candidates will be responsible for the ongoing assessment of youth's needs and fostering their emotional and physical well-being. You will assist in the development of care plans and connect youth with community resources while ensuring a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess youth's emotional and physical needs continuously

• Develop care plans with youths and Case Managers

• Lead life skills and recreational activities

• Ensure safety and security of the facility

• Document youth's progress and activities daily

Requirements:

• Degree in child and youth work or equivalent

• Minimum two years of shelter experience

• Knowledge of adolescent developmental theories

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• First Aid and CPR certification
