Harm Reduction Coordinator

Join Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre as a Harm Reduction Coordinator. In this full-time role, support vulnerable populations with harm reduction and overdose prevention services.

In this position, you will implement a community-based harm reduction program funded by the City of Toronto. As a Harm Reduction Coordinator, you will educate clients, enhance partnerships, and provide essential resources at various shelter locations. Your work will focus on building community capacity and creating an inclusive environment for those facing health barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overdose prevention education at shelters

• Distribute harm reduction equipment and collect used items

• Design and deliver educational workshops

• Build professional and social networks in the community

• Maintain accurate written and electronic program data

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or relevant experience

• 3 to 5 years in community settings

• Expertise in workshop design and program development

• Experience with marginalized communities

• Proficiency in additional languages is an asset
