Part-Time Developmental Service Worker

Make a difference in the lives of transitional aged youth as a Part-Time Developmental Service Worker with Springboard in Toronto. Support individuals with developmental disabilities and promote independent living skills in a nurturing environment.

Springboard is seeking a contract Developmental Service Worker to provide one-on-one support to youth transitioning from the child welfare system. This role combines program development, crisis management, and community engagement, contributing to personal growth and skill acquisition. You will actively participate in program planning and support individuals achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Locate services for individuals in need

• Implement therapeutic programming with TAY staff

• Maintain documentation and monitor finances

• Facilitate life skills programs and community integration

• Ensure appropriate personal and crisis support

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in Social Services or related field

• Valid First Aid and Safe Management certifications

• One year experience with developmental disabilities

• Strong computer skills in MS Office applications

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
