Lumenus Community Services seeks a dynamic Youth Worker to support diverse youth at The Studio in Central Toronto. Engage youth in workshops, provide mentorship, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
We are looking for a Youth Worker for casual relief roles in our Counselling and Community Services Team. Focused on ages 10 to 25, The Studio serves as a positive space where youth engage in activities and workshops from art making to discussions. This position emphasizes working collaboratively with youth in a dynamic environment while addressing mental health and diversity concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a safe space prioritizing BIPOC and 2
SLGBTQIA+ youth
• Develop and implement youth-led workshops and events
• Provide mentorship and one-on-one support
• Address oppressive behavior proactively through education
• Conduct documentation and data entry for program success
Requirements:
• Child & Youth Worker diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience in fast-paced drop-in settings
• Knowledge of youth mental health challenges
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
