Developmental Service Worker for Youth Support

Empower transitional aged youth with Springboard as a Developmental Service Worker in Toronto. Engage in creating individualized support plans and fostering independence.

As part of Springboard’s Developmental Services team, you will assist youth with developmental disabilities in their transition from the child welfare system. This role emphasizes collaborative goal-setting, implementation of life skills training, and enhancing community participation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of services that align with individual capabilities and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs analysis and goal planning with individuals

• Implement life skills programs for community integration

• Deliver therapeutic support services in a TAY home setting

• Plan and facilitate community activities safely

• Support crisis management and positive behavior reinforcement

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Social Services or equivalent

• Two years relevant experience with developmental disabilities

• First Aid and CPI Certifications required

• Expert knowledge of trauma-informed practices

• Excellent communication skills in English
