Night Shift Support Care Worker

Make a difference at night as a Support Care Worker at Haven Toronto, offering critical support to those in need. This role assists clients experiencing hardships related to homelessness, mental health, and substance use.

This full-time, time-limited contract is located in downtown Toronto and spans until December 31, 2026. Shifts are Friday through Tuesday, 11pm-7am. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll welcome clients, conduct assessments, and help connect them to necessary services and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register new clients and orient them to services

• Perform assessments of physical and mental health needs

• Facilitate access to meals, clothing, and various services

• Document interactions and collaborate on care strategies

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Services, Addictions, or Mental Health

• Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred

• Ability to manage competing priorities in demanding settings

• Knowledge of harm reduction practices

• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
