Youth Development Specialist at Strides

Become a Youth Development Specialist as a RISE Program Worker at Strides Toronto Support Services. Provide critical outreach and early intervention to enhance youth growth in the community.

This full-time contract role offers 35 hours weekly until March 31, 2027. You will engage directly with youth and families, developing and implementing programs and workshops that meet identified needs. Strong community ties will be crucial for effective crisis response and peer facilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver services responsive to each youth's needs

• Document all client interactions accurately

• Create and lead workshops for skill development

• Build community connections for crisis intervention

• Promote peer facilitators in programs and initiatives

Requirements:

• Diploma in Child and Youth Work

• 1-2 years relevant experience

• Awareness of diversity and inclusion principles

• Understanding of anti-Black racism issues

• Capability to recognize privilege-related dynamics
