Join the YMCA as a Youth Worker at mYplace to support marginalized 2
SLGBTQIA+ youth. This full-time role emphasizes crisis prevention, community resources, and collaborative programming.
As a Youth Worker at mYplace in Toronto, your mission will be to address the needs of vulnerable young people during a five-month contract starting September 1, 2026. You will provide innovative solutions to pressing challenges, conduct workshops, and maintain safety protocols effectively. Direct experience with LGBTQIA+ communities is a vital asset.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support and referral to youth in need
• Lead and implement dynamic group activities
• Supervise daily routines and oversee participant engagement
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Handle emergency situations with professionalism
Requirements:
• Experience working with youth for at least two years
• Education in Social Work, Child Care or relevant field
• First aid and crisis intervention certifications required
• Familiarity with transitional housing options in Toronto
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities essential
