Position: Research, Summer Student (2)

Job Summary

We are looking for two Summer Students to support our Nephrology Research Program by assisting with a systematic review and meta‑analysis.

Employment Details
  • Duration: Up to August 28, 2026 (subject to change)
  • Reporting Relationship: Manager, Research
  • Hiring Salary Range: $20/hour
  • Availability: Monday–Friday; with some flexibility as required
  • Union: Non‑Union
  • Location: Hennick Humber Hospital (Wilson)
Responsibilities
  • Research protocol development
  • Literature searches
  • Title and abstract screening
  • Full‑text retrieval and screening
  • Data extraction
  • Risk of bias assessment
  • Statistical analysis
  • Report writing
Qualifications
  • Must be actively enrolled in post‑secondary education.
  • Previous experience in administrative or customer service support required.
  • Candidates from the North West Toronto community are especially encouraged to apply; preference will be given to local residents.
  • Intermediate/proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and detail‑oriented.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multitask competing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
