Join the Jean Tweed Centre as a Residential Counsellor, where you'll create a safe haven for women battling substance use and mental health challenges. This supporting role emphasizes crisis management and client care.
The position involves overseeing residence safety and guiding clients through their treatment journeys. You'll conduct clients' assessments, monitor interactions, and support daily activities within a collaborative framework. Engaging in professional development is also part of your growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and follow up on treatment plans
• Address conflicts and support crisis intervention
• Maintain accurate client documentation
• Assist residents with medications as required
• Initiate community meetings to foster engagement
Requirements:
• College Diploma in Addictions and Mental Health
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and women's issues
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• First Aid/CPR certification
