Join the Developmental Services team in Toronto as a Senior Developmental Service Worker, focusing on transitional aged youth. This role provides essential support for youth with developmental disabilities.
You will be instrumental in fostering independence through personalized planning and program development in a relief capacity. Engage directly with youth, implementing therapeutic strategies and life-skills facilitation, while ensuring a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized goals with youth in care
• Assist in therapeutic programming and service delivery
• Ensure effective crisis management and support
• Facilitate community and recreational activities
• Produce documentation reflecting agency standards
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education in Social Services
• Two years of experience in developmental services
• Certification in CPR/First Aid and CPI
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and social inclusion
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
