Embark on a rewarding career as a Youth Justice Worker with Springboard in Toronto, focusing on programming for youth in the justice system. This full-time position allows you to foster growth and resilience among young people.
As part of Springboard’s Youth Community Justice Services, you will work closely with young individuals aged 12–24 who require alternative programming. Your responsibilities include implementing daily activities, leading group workshops, and collaborating with community organizations, including school boards and police services. You will play a vital role in creating a supportive environment that encourages personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and deliver group activities for youth
• Use de-escalation strategies when needed
• Build relationships with referral sources and partners
• Participate in program evaluation and staff meetings
• Complete necessary reporting accurately
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Work or related area
• Minimum 2 years working with youth
• Experience with the youth justice system
• Strong communication skills
• Team-oriented with problem-solving abilities
