As a Youth Worker, you will leverage your educational background and hands-on experience to supervise shelter residents effectively. With an emphasis on building supportive relationships, you will assist adolescents in their development through tailored case plans and group programs. Utilizing your communication and conflict resolution skills, you will also handle documentation and ensure adherence to shelter standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safety and supportive care for youth residents
• Accurately record client interactions within the SMIS
• Work collaboratively to develop and manage case plans
• Lead and evaluate engaging group programming for residents
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the shelter daily
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in a related field
• At least one year of experience working with youth
• Sound knowledge of youth support issues
• Current First Aid/CPR and UMAB certifications
• Commitment to inclusive practices and professional standards
