Join Youth Link as a full-time Youth Support Worker, providing essential care and supervision in a supportive shelter environment. This role involves guiding young residents towards positive life choices and stability.
The Youth Support Worker position at Youth Link requires a compassionate individual dedicated to empowering youth. You will ensure safety through effective crisis management while overseeing day-to-day operations in transitional housing. Responsibilities include supporting residents with daily routines and fostering connections to resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake and assessments for new residents
• Assist youth in establishing SMART goals
• Manage safety and crisis intervention processes
• Keep shelter areas clean and well maintained
• Document all interactions and updates accurately
Requirements:
• 1-year frontline experience in residential support
• Diploma in Child and Youth Work or equivalent
• First Aid/CPR and Crisis Intervention certifications preferred
• Understanding of diversity and inclusion principles
• Clearance for working with vulnerable populations
