Position: Covenant House Youth Worker Role
Become a Youth Worker at Covenant House, where your skills will help empower homeless youth in a full-time, permanent position. This role focuses on life skills and fostering safe environments.

Covenant House is urgently looking for a compassionate Youth Worker to provide essential support to youth in transitional housing. This position involves building meaningful relationships with participants, implementing transitional plans, and engaging youth using a trauma-informed approach. You will work in a self-scheduling model requiring 4 weekend shifts monthly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create supportive connections with ROP program participants

• Provide individual and group life skills training

• Conduct ongoing assessments and referrals to supports

• Handle crisis situations effectively and safely

• Manage shift activities and team responsibilities

Requirements:

• College degree in youth work or related field

• Two years’ experience in similar programs

• Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Knowledge of adolescent development and resources
