Child & Youth Worker in North York

Join HealthOPM as a Child and Youth Worker for integrated day treatment in North York, ON. Support youth with behavioral challenges while fostering emotional regulation skills and promoting a positive learning environment.

In this role, you will provide essential therapeutic support within a live-in treatment home along with a classroom teacher, creating a safe and trauma-informed atmosphere. Your work will include collaborative treatment planning, youth observations, and documentation to ensure effective communication across the multi-disciplinary team to meet accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to develop youth treatment plans

• Observe and assess youth in a classroom setting

• Document discussions and communications effectively

• Complete incident reports as necessary

• Provide training and supervision to college students

Requirements:

• College diploma in Child and Youth Work or Care

• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience

• Skills in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

• Knowledge of crisis management principles

• Certification in CPR and First Aid
