Child & Youth Advocate

Position: Full-Time Child & Youth Advocate Role
Support vulnerable children and youth as a Child & Youth Advocate at Boost CYAC in Toronto. This full-time position requires a commitment to advocacy, with a focus on crisis intervention and client support during sensitive investigations.

Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre is seeking a Child Advocate to work directly with clients involved in abuse investigations. This role features a rotating schedule encompassing both day and evening shifts, where you will provide advocacy and support through thorough needs assessments. Your collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will make a significant difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver support and education during investigative interviews

• Welcome families and explain center processes

• Facilitate virtual check-ins and address client concerns

• Coordinate crisis intervention strategies with team members

• Support court preparation and client advocacy in legal settings

Requirements:

• BSW or degree in related fields

• At least three years of experience with abuse victims

• Knowledge of trauma-informed frameworks and DEI practices

• Understanding of relevant child welfare legislation

• Vulnerable Sector Clearance is mandatory
