Family Visitor

Position: Lumenus Community Services Family Visitor
Support young families as a Family Home Visitor with Lumenus Community Services. This role centers on delivering vital parenting guidance to families facing challenges such as isolation and lack of resources.

In this part-time position, you will work directly with families to facilitate their growth and address developmental milestones. You will coordinate home visits, offer parenting advice, and ensure that families are connected to necessary services. Collaboration with public health partners will enhance your impact on community health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate realistic parenting expectations and goals

• Administer developmental screenings and assessments

• Support positive interactions between parents and children

• Provide parenting resources on nutrition and safety

• Maintain documentation of family interactions

Requirements:

• College Diploma in Early Childhood Education preferred

• 3-5 years’ experience in community service

• Bilingual in English and Farsi/Dari beneficial

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Reliable transportation for travel duties in Toronto
