Terry Fox House is looking for an experienced Youth Worker committed to trauma-informed care for young men in the youth justice system. This role involves providing daily support, tracking youth needs, and participating in case management for successful reintegration. The job requires varied shift work, including weekends and overnights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing support and mentoring to youth
• Ensure accurate documentation of youth progress
• Facilitate appointments for medical and legal needs
• Engage with parents and community partners regularly
• Assist in crisis intervention and behavioral management
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Work or related field
• At least one year of experience with at-risk youth
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid G driver's license is necessary
• Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams
