Ve’ahavta Social Services Outreach Worker

As part of Ve’ahavta’s outreach van program, you'll serve on the front lines delivering essential supplies while facilitating connections to vital services. The position involves hands-on work in the community from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm. With a commitment to education and empowerment, you’ll engage volunteers and raise awareness about homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Distribute food, clothing, and hygiene supplies

• Refer clients to community services effectively

• Mentor and involve volunteers in outreach events

• Manage logistical elements of supply distribution

• Foster awareness of socio-economic issues in the community

Requirements:

• Educational background in social services or similar

• Experience working with mental health and addiction issues

• Knowledgeable in harm reduction methodologies

• Valid Full G driver’s license with a clean record

• Capacity to handle supplies weighing up to 25 lbs
