Part-Time Family Therapist at Yorktown

Join Yorktown Family Services as a part-time Family and Individual Therapist focused on the Estimated Time of Arrival Program. Deliver therapy to youth and families, combating potential violence and ideologies.

In this role, you will engage with youth, young adults, and families impacted by ideologies contributing to daily disruptions or violent acts. With a strong background in counselling and a commitment to community service, your skills in Trauma-Focused therapy and collaborative support will be crucial. Assistance will be provided through in-person, telephone, and virtual sessions throughout Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical mental health support as part of a team

• Deliver family therapy targeting disruptive ideologies

• Collaborate on treatment plans with support staff

• Monitor client engagement and mental health

• Complete necessary psychosocial assessments and reports

Requirements:

• Master’s in Counselling Psychology/Psychotherapy or Social Work

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with youth and justice systems

• Registration with appropriate professional colleges

• Strong communication and engagement skills

• Valid driver's license for travel throughout GTA
