Support children and youth in a residential group home through care, safety, health, and structured living responsibilities. Travel is required, with no remote work available.
The Residential Counsellor supports boys and girls experiencing difficulties orting to the Direct Services Supervisor, this role promotes each child’s best interests and protection. On-the-job training supports learning new skills, while social services or child welfare experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide care and support to group home clients
- Promote children’s best interests and protection
- Support client safety, health, and well-being
- Provide structured residential living for children and youth
- Report to the Direct Services Supervisor
- Interest in working with children and youth
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Personal time management abilities
- Willingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training
- Ability to travel; no remote work available
