Support residents overnight at The Salvation Army’s Sudbury Cedar Place using housing referrals, safety checks, and purposeful assistance.
This permanent full-time Overnight Worker provides a safe, welcoming environment at the Sudbury shelter. The position supports individuals and families through community referrals and housing supports. You will also prepare meals, document activities, and maintain facility standards during overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct nightly rounds with the duty co-worker
- Check windows, doors, exits, residents, and facility safety
- Complete intakes, prescreen guests, and track turnaways
- Prepare dinner and maintain breakfast and lunch food supplies
- Record activities, incidents, referrals, and night checks
- More than three months, less than one year related experience
- Minimum Grade XII diploma
- Trauma-informed approach and objective, approachable communication
- Basic computer and clerical skills
- First Aid, CPR, and Safe Food Handlers certification
