Ruby on Rails Developer (Full Stack)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

We are seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer to join a growing engineering team based in downtown Toronto
. This role is backend-leaning but will involve full-stack development in practice. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on Rails experience, is comfortable working across the stack, and can contribute immediately in a collaborative, in-office environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and business logic
• Contribute to front-end development as needed (views, UI integrations, basic JS)
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features end to end
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions

• 2+ years of full-time professional experience as a software developer
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Backend-focused development experience, with willingness to work full-stack
• Solid understanding of databases, APIs, and web application architecture
• Ability to work 3 days per week onsite in downtown Toronto

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and MVC architecture
• Exposure to cloud platforms or deployment pipelines
• Experience working in Agile or startup-style environments
