Principal Architect

Overview  ADP is hiring a Principal Architect. This role involves designing technical solutions, guiding a team of developers, and promoting architectural initiatives aligned with business strategy.
Responsibilities   Work with product owners to understand challenges, design technical solutions, and guide implementation.
Promote architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency aligned with business strategy.
Lead sprint planning, identify priorities, and create designs to guide developers; code on critical areas when needed.
Mentor developers, collaborate with peer architects, and act as the technical reference across teams.
Design approximately 50% of work and code approximately 50% of work; review and refine colleagues’ code.
Communicate effectively to ensure solutions meet enterprise and local needs.
Qualifications   10+ years of experience in architecture, design, and building large-scale distributed services-oriented systems.
Versatile knowledge of coding languages, including front-end, scripting, and back-end technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React, and related frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; prior experience and comfort in the role are a plus.
Proficiency in Java/JEE technologies, JSON, React, Kafka; hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring integrations.

Experience with RDBMS and No

SQL databases (e.g., Mongo

DB, Dynamo

DB);
Git, Jenkins, Ansible; experience with public cloud (AWS or Azure).
Strong, clear, and influential communication skills; ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams.
Front-End Development   Strong proficiency with React and component-based UI development (custom widgets, reusable components).

Experience with modern Web 2.0 frameworks (React, Redux, jQuery).
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors (SASS/LESS).
Back-End Development   Strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot / Hibernate; experience building Java-based applications.
