Job Title: Software Developer - Mobile - Senior
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Contract
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain a production-grade Digital Credential Wallet for iOS and Android. The role focuses on secure mobile development, verifiable credentials, decentralized identity technologies, and modern digital wallet standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and deploy secure mobile applications (iOS & Android)
- Implement W3C Verifiable Credentials, SD-JWT, mDOC (ISO 18013-5/7), and OID4
VCI/OID4VP flows - Develop secure credential issuance, storage, presentation, and verification capabilities
- Integrate with identity providers, backend systems, and API gateways
- Apply mobile security best practices including Secure Enclave/Trust Zone and cryptographic standards
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain high-quality documentation
- Experience working with commercial grade mobile iOS and Android applications using native languages (Objective-C / Swift, Xcode or Java with Android Studio).
- Experience with iOS or Android. Strong experience developing multithreaded applications.
- Experience with mobile operating system (OS) architecture in areas of user interface (UI), memory management, data storage, application management by OS, and cybersecurity.
- Experience with UI development of mobile applications (scalable for different screen resolutions and localization).
- Experience working with continuous integration.
- Must have apps published in either the Apple or Google store.
- Experience in developing Native and Hybrid apps with iOS/Swift, Android/Java, React Native/Type Script.
- Experience with Apple and Google wallets, or custom digital wallets, such as add passes/credentials to a wallet.
- Knowledge of using Secure Enclave and/or Trust Zone.
- Experience in developing mobile apps that use local on device capabilities such as camera, Bluetooth, microphone, accelerometer, etc.
- Working with the Open Source community and Open Source products.
