Mobile Developer

Position Description
We are looking for a skilled Senior Mobile Developer with strong experience building high‑quality, scalable mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. This role is hands‑on and will focus on developing mobile features, improving app performance, contributing to mobile architecture, and ensuring high code quality across the mobile ecosystem.

You will collaborate closely with product, backend engineering, Dev Ops, and QA teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences and contribute to continuous improvement across the SDLC.

Future duties and responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high‑performing mobile applications for iOS and Android using modern frameworks and technologies (Swift/Objective‑C, Kotlin/Java).

Participate in defining and enhancing mobile architecture, ensuring modularity, performance, and scalability.

Build reusable components, libraries, and utilities to support development across teams.

Quality & Testing

Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.

Develop and execute unit tests and work closely with QA teams to ensure app quality.

Collaborate with automation teams using tools like Appium to ensure mobile testability.

Collaboration

Work with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Partner with backend teams to integrate REST APIs and ensure seamless data flow.

Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to integrate mobile builds into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub).

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to improving development workflows, coding practices, and release processes.

Participate in root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional efforts to resolve production issues.

Stay updated with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications
Must‑Have

5+ years of hands‑on mobile development experience (Android and/or iOS).

Strong proficiency in iOS:
Swift, Objective‑C, Xcode.

Strong proficiency in Android:
Kotlin, Java, Android SDK.

Solid understanding of mobile design patterns and architectures (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture).

Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.

Strong debugging skills and familiarity with mobile logs, crash tools, and performance tuning.

Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops), and build systems (Gradle/Xcodebuild).

Familiarity with unit and UI testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, JUnit).

Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred

Experience using cloud device farms (Browser Stack, AWS Device Farm, Sauce Labs).

Familiarity with containerization and Dev Ops concepts (Docker/Kubernetes).

Knowledge of reporting/monitoring tools (Firebase Crashlytics, App Center, Allure, Extent Reports).

Experience with scripting (Shell, Node.js) and API testing tools (Postman, Curl).

Exposure to QA, automation, or shift‑left initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000 - $145,000.
