Location - Downtown Toronto (Hybrid - 4 days office and 1 day remote)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java and related technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Kafka, along with a solid understanding of software development best practices. Exposure to Mongo
DB and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus. Familiarity with ITIL methodologies will be considered an advantage.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
. Implement Kafka-based messaging solutions to support high-performance and reliable data integration.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
. Support deployment activities and contribute to system monitoring and performance optimization.
. Work within an Agile/ITIL-aligned environment, ensuring proper incident, problem, and change management processes are followed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. 7+ years of professional experience in Java development.
. Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch frameworks.
. Hands-on experience with Kafka (producer, consumer, topics, stream processing, etc.).
. Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and enterprise integration.
. Good knowledge of NOSQL databases.
Nice-to-Have Skills
. Exposure to Mongo
DB or other No
SQL databases.
. Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure) or application servers.
. Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem management).
. Experience working in Agile / Dev Ops environments.
