Perform hands on more complex testing activities: test design, test creation and/or process support within a well-defined functional area to support the delivery of quality solutions by designing and automating tests and/or creating/enhancing automation frameworks.
Customer
Hands on role focused on test automation activities with high level of complexityAs a Test Lead for small complexity initiatives, accountable for implementing effective test strategies and plans, test design / development test case automation and test execution to achieve business outcomes.Provides QE leadership, direction and feedback throughout the development and design process; provides test development / automation support to ensure that the quality of the intended solution is met.Leverage strong knowledge to understand technical solutions to build optimized test approaches, inclusive of the tooling strategyStrong knowledge of test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilitiesEffectively engineer and leverage tools and Engineering practices (Dev Ops tools and processes, source code management, Service Virtualization, monitoring tools, etc.)Implement functional and/or non-functional automation frameworks (performance, readiness / reliability testing (ORT), accessibility, security) including script development and execution, and ensure automated tests are integrated into the Continuous Integration (CI), delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelinesPlay a key role in developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunitiesWork collaboratively with the development team to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) / Ready (DoR)Apply the principles of behavior / Test Driven Development (BDD / TDD) and focus on value driven outcomesLeads Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate new technologies geared towards better, faster, more secure testing activities (such as Service Virtualization, Dev Ops, BDD, Test Data Management)Shareholder
Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to quality engineering activitiesEnsure respective programs/ policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business prioritiesCollaboratively engage with relevant stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external, to shift from finding defects to proactively preventing defectsActively seek and support continuous improvement and automation opportunities within the quality engineering practiceConduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using data to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practicesIdentify opportunities to minimize cost, provide recommendations and/or deliver corresponding strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and to enhance stakeholder experienceConduct test assets reviews to ensure adherence to quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenanceMonitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities existLead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issuesActively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirementsProtect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate nonstandard, high-risk activities as necessaryKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEmployee/Team
